Thank You So Mush

How fun is this! I created this for the current showCASe your style challenge
which when I saw the inspiration graphic (below) I ran immediately for my
Lawn Fawn Gleeful Gardens set.

I love mushrooms! The whimsical kind and the edible fungi :)
I was also inspired by a fun Tayloed Expressions die that's on my wish list, but I haven't been able to grab yet, that will do all this cutting for you with one swipe. Here's a LINK

All the images were colored with copics, and my sentiment was a mix up of the "so mush" from Lawn Fawn and Thank You from a Hero Arts set. Full product list below. Hope you like!!

a Masculine Birthday card

Today's card was made using the current MFT Sketch Challenge
Which I flipped 90 degrees. I used Versa Mark on my card based with some stamps from
the MFT Party Balloons stamps set, for a subtle tone on tone background.

I used Simon Says Stamp bundle of stitched shapes to cut out a rectangle background,
which I then cut the bottom off with stitched speech bubbles from My Favorite Things.
I stamped the word "Birthday" onto a fishtail flag, and adhered to the card along
side my die cut "Happy" from studio calico.

I added some enamel dots from Hero Arts and some wink of stella inside
the lines of the Happy die.

I will also be submitting this for Simon Says Stamps Work-It Wednesday

a Golden Birthday card

Fun new Spellbinders die to showcase today!
I was just cruisin' Joann's website to see what was on sale and
came across this must have. I love that it comes with little matching butterfly dies!

My original plan here was to do simple gold foiling, but, I didn't have any so
that was out. Then I had this "genius" idea that I would use stick-in papers and emboss
onto it. Yea - It doesn't work. Well it works, but not well.
So I landed on a tried and true technique.

After cutting my tree out onto some of the kraft cardstock I smushed
my versa mark ink pad all over it, cover the die, then coating with embossing
powder and heating until fully melted. I set that aside to cool off
and cut out some of the tiny butterflies that come with the die, as well as
a stitched fishtail for my sentiment.

Following the layout from the current Muse over at the Muse Challenge Blog I added a strip of fun chevron papers andadhered the main panel onto my card base in a bit of a wonky alignment, but wanted my sentiment tag straight, since I couldn't eyeball it I used my Kelly CraftGet-It-Straight laser square to property align it and stuck it in place with a mini staple.

So thanks for stopping by today & I hope you've enjoyed my little card here. I'd love it if you'd join me on social media!! You can find me on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter all time!

I'll be entering this card into the current Muse Challenge as well as the current Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes challenge.

You're Pretty Sweet: Watercoloring with Hero Arts

Youre Sweet
Hi Everyone! Kristina here today with some watercolor fun!
When I first got this fun stamp set, I knew it would be great for watercolors.

I started off by stamping my strawberries and then creating a mask to make them stand out in front.
I use full adhesive post-it notes for this.
I next stamped the apple and cherries, and then masked off the cherries and stamped the pears.
Since the pear stamp contains a sentiment inside the stamp, but not the one I wanted to use, I used post-it tape to mask off the sentiment before inking up my stamp.
I used the Hero Arts Color Wheel to paint in my images, which I topped off with s
ome wink of stella and a little enamel accents for the seeds.
To keep it simple, I mounted the watercolor panel onto some Hero Arts layering paper
and adhered to a a2 card base before adding my sentiment to the bottom.
