{a2z scrapbooking} A Hero Arts New Year

Hero Arts Vintage Christmas
Welcome friends & Happy Holidays! I hope you've had a great weekend and are maybe even enjoying a little time off work today! I wanted to stretch my holiday stamps and get a little more use, by moving them down to the next holiday!

The Vintage Christmas set is versatile enough to be used all winter long. Just pair it with some different sentiments, like I did here. I've mixed a Hero Arts Digitial Stamp "Say it in Peieces" and Concord & 9th "Sophisticated Script" to make my own sentiment.

The Hero Arts Vintage Christmas set + tons of other holiday stamps are currently on sale in the a2z scrapbooking store, while supplies last, and you can save an additional 15% with my discount KRISTINA15 So here's what I did for this card:
  • In photoshop I created an a2 sized blank template, arrange my sentiment pieces where I wanted and printed onto Neenah cardstock
  • Next I stamped and clear embossed "New Year"
  • Lastly I stamped assorted images from the set, to create a little wintery scene
  • To finished, I trimmed the card down by .25" around and mounted it onto some glitter cardstock before adhering to a white card base
And that's it! Super easy and a great way to get more use out of holiday stamps! You could easily swap the sentiments for "Thinking of You" or "Missing You" or even a winter birthday.

{a2z scrapbooking} Hero Arts Holiday Tag

Hero Arts Holiday Gift Tag
Hi Friends! Kristina here with a project for our "Anything but a Card" challenge this December. My inspiration today comes from Kay Miller and the 12 tags of Christmas on the Ellen Hutson blog. I've never been one to do many gift tags, but her's looks so enticing I thought I'd giving it a go.

I cut out a base circle with a stitched circle die, and then an additional circle one size smaller from two colors of cardstock. I used versamark ink to create a tone-on-tone simple background. You could also use pattern paper. I cut each circle in half and peiced them together on the background, before layering on a die cut sentiment, a glittery snow flake, a Hero Arts Snowy Tree and the cute little owl from Hero Arts Holiday Animals. He was colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I was ready to give up on those markers until I saw Jennifer McGuires favorite things video for paper, which turned me on to Bristol Smooth paper and the rest is history. I like the markers now :)
